Local people are being invited to the first NHS Canterbury and Coastal meeting to take place in Lower Hardres.
The monthly governing body meeting will meet on Wednesday 2 October, 2-5pm at Lower Hardres Village Hall, Street End (CT4 5NP).
Topics on the agenda include winter plans, East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust's plan for improving patients' experience of radiology/X-ray services, and an update on Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
Members of the public and represenatives from organisations are invited to observe the meeting to find out about decisions being made on local healthcare.
There will be an opportunity for people to ask questions for 10 minutes at the start and a further 10 minutes at the end of the meeting. Anyone who would like to submit questions in advance is encouraged to contact the CCG by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01227 791359.
Dr Alyson Bowhay, GP at the University Medical Centre and governing body representative, said: “We believe it is important that the governing body is held in lots of different places to provide people from across the Canterbury and Coastal area with the opportunity of attending a meeting. This will be the first one to take place in Lower Hardres and I hope that local residents will be able to make it.”
